 Laughter - Nature's stress reliever

If you are feeling stressed, tired, or just plain wiped out, before you grab that bottle of aspirin or take a nap, try laughing.  Research shows that laughter is very, very healthy.

It increases antibodies in saliva that combats upper respiratory infections.

It reduces blood pressure and heart rate.

It conditions abdominal muscles.

It relaxes muscles throughout the body.

It changes perspective - it is hard to stay angry when you are laughing.

It releases endorphins which provide natural pain relief.

There is a great website  www.worldlaughtertour.com that gives you this information and more. Move your mouse over the logo and see what I mean.   Have a good laugh today and enjoy the benefits.

Sharpen up your appearance - you're not in college any more - the career part

Sharpen up your interview skills - practice in front of your web cam, record and  critique yourself - ask others to review it

Prepare a useful resume.  List your jobs and volunteer activities - include your successes and accomplishments.  - keep your political affliation off

Carry a copy of your resume with you - you never know who you might meet in the elevator

NETWORK, NETWORK, NETWORK  - remember the 6 degrees rule

Be diligent in your job search.  Set aside time every day to search and DO IT

Explore contract/temporary employment - it offers good experience and can be a foot in the door.
